For
those with time on their side, this is an ideal way to spend
23 days on safari, crossing from one to the other of all three
East African Countries. For centuries, the region has captured
the imagination of travellers and adventure seekers alike.
This itinerary can be amended to suit your requirements. Departures:
Daily, minimum 2 persons.
Day 1:
Kampala Arrive Entebbe, met on arrival and transferred to
Speke Hotel in Kampala for overnight. BB
Day 2:
Mbarara Depart in the morning and drive to Mbarara on good
tarmac road. Along the way, stop at the Equator, Local Drum
makers and take pictures of the Ankole Long Horned Cattle.
Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at Regency Lakeview Hotel
Mbarara. Approx Transit time: 6 hrs Meal plan: {B, L, D}
Day 3: Bwindi:
Depart after an early breakfast for the Mountain Gorilla Sanctuary
of Bwindi arriving in time for lunch at the tracking base.
In the afternoon, take a self guided walk around the camp
along the Munyaga River before returning for sunset views
across the Bwindi Forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla

Day 4: Bwindi:
After breakfast, travel to the base of the mountain for a
briefing before starting the gorilla trek -30 minutes to 8
hours trekking. After picnic lunches and drinks in the Bwindi
Impenetrable, we return to base for dinner and overnight at
Gorilla

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi:
Breakfast at Leisure, before departing for Lake Bunyonyi believed
to be one of the deepest crater lakes in Africa. In the afternoon,
take a canoe ride or do some Cray fishing around the evergreen
islands. Meals and overnight at Nature’s Prime Island.

Day 6: Kampala/Nairobi:
After breakfast, depart for Kampala for lunch at the Gallery
Cafe before proceeding to the airport for a late evening flight
to Nairobi. On arriving Nairobi, met and transferred to Nairobi
Safari Club for overnight, BB. Approx transit time on road:

Day 7: Samburu:
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya
and norh across the equator to Samburu National Reserve
arriving Samburu Serena Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon
game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Approx transit
time: 6 hrs Meal Plan: {B, L, D}
Day 8: Samburu:
Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon
game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and and game abundant park,
home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s
zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated
giraffe. Optional activities include a visit to a local Samburu
village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All
meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge. Meal Plan: {B,

Day 9: The Ark:
Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to Aberdare National
Park arriving Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. Afternoon
transfer to The Ark for overnight floodlit game viewing. Set
in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, this unique game
lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts
a host of wildlife - elephant, rhino, leopard, bushbuck and
occasionally an elusive bongo or giant forest hog. Dinner
and overnight at the tree hotel. Approx transit time: 3½
hrs Meal Plan: {B, L, D} Please note: Only overnight bags
are allowed at The Ark, with the rest of your luggage being
left behind at the base hotel.
Day 10: Lake Nakuru:
Morning drive back to Aberdare Country Club, then depart shortly
to the floor of The Rift Valley making a brief stop at Nyahururu
Thomson Falls. Arrive Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch,
followed by an afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos
that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species
of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can
be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s
giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion,
buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 11: Maasai Mara:
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive further along
the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara arriving Mara
Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner
and overnight at the lodge. Approx transit time: 6 hrs Meal

Day 12 & 13: Maasai Mara:
Spend two days in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular
game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of
spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant).
On one day you will go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend
most of the day in the park coming back to the lodge late
afternoon, while on the second day you will have an early
morning pre-breakfast game drive, and another one late afternoon.
There will also be an optional visit to a local Maasai village.
All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: {B,

Day 14: Nairobi:
Depart Maasai Mara after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi
arriving approx. 13:00hrs. Drop at your hotel - Nairobi Safari
Club. Lunch on own arrangements/afternoon at leisure. Overnight
stay at the hotel on Bed & Breakfast basis. Optional dinner
at The Carnivore Restaurant. Approx transit time: 5½

Day 15: Amboseli:
Depart Nairobi after breakfast for Amboseli National Park
arriving Amboseli Serena Lodge in time for lunch. .The park
is famous for its big game and great scenic beauty whose entire
landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Approx transit time: 4½

Day 16: Amboseli:
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive when you have the best
chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, returning to Serena
Lodge for late breakfast. Morning at leisure - afternoon game
drive. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Meal

Day 17: Lake Manyara:
Depart Amboseli after breakfast and drive to Namanga (Kenya/Tanzania
border) where you will change vehicle and driver/guide. After
customs formalities drive to Arusha for lunch at Impala Hotel,
then proceed to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 18: Manyara/Serengeti:
Morning game drive in the Manyara Park, a park dotted with
exotic trees such as the giant fig, baobab and mahogany and
famous for lions that sprawl on trees (though rare these days).
Depart after lunch for Serengeti Nat. Park arriving Serengeti
Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight. Approx transit time:

19: Serengeti
Full day in Serengeti :
Morning and afternoon game drives in the rolling grasslands
studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see. All meals
and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}
Day 20: Ngorongoro:
Another morning game drive in Serengeti. Lunch will be at
Serengeti Sopa Lodge then depart for Ngorongoro via Olduvai
Gorge for a short visit of the museum. Dinner and overnight
at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Approx transit time: 3 hrs Meal

Day 21: Ngorongoro:
After breakfast descend down to the crater floor for ½
day crater tour, returning to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for lunch.
Afternoon at leisure with optional visit to a local Maasai
village. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Meal Plan: {B,
L, D} Pls note: Only ½ day tours may be allowed at
the crater.
Day 22: Tarangire:
Depart Ngorongoro after breakfast and drive to Tarangire Nat.
Park arriving Tarangire Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon
game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Approx transit

Day 23: Arusha/Nairobi:
Depart after breakfast with a game drive en route and return
to Arusha. Lunch will be at Impala Hotel then board afternoon
shuttle bus back to Nairobi arriving approx. 18:30hrs. Drop
at the airport for onward flight back home. (There is an option
of flying back to Nairobi from Arusha, instead of the shuttle
bus). End of our services. Approx transit time: 7 hrs Meal
